Shipping Policy
Orders received Wednesday through Saturday will go out the following Monday and Tuesday. We ship 2nd Day Air so as to ensure your packages arrive by Friday, as if there is any problem with FedEx, they would otherwise sit in a warehouse over the weekend.Return Policy
Your cheesecakes are shipped frozen, packed with ice packs, wrapped in a thermal blanket and sent in a thermal cooler. If kept in the freezer, they have a shelf-life of up to six months. If you store them unsealed in your refrigerator, you should enjoy them within 10-14 days.We want you to be 100% happy with your order. We will replace or refund in the event the product arrives damaged or the product does not meet your expectations. You must contact us within 15 days of your order.

Our ‘Cheesecakes in a Jar®’ are exactly that…. Individual portion-sized Gourmet Cheesecakes that are baked in their own recyclable glass jars!
We do not cut any corners when it comes to our cheesecakes, using such ingredients are Philadelphia Cream Cheese®, whole eggs, unsalted butter, pure cane sugar and real cream. We even make our own biscotti for our crusts as we feel they just have so much more flavor than graham cracker crumbs.

If anyone had told me that I would be baking cheesecakes for a living back in the 70's, 80's, or 90's, I would have thought that they might have had one or two drinks too many!
Growing up in New Jersey, to be specific, on 'Da Shore', I always had a thing for food. My dad, L. Edison (Ed) Mathis tried to introduce me to fine foods by taking me to some truly fine restaurants and clubs, but I was more of a 'normal' food kind of guy!
Eventually, I enrolled in the Colorado Culinary Academy at Mesa State College with no idea of where it would lead. About two or three weeks into my first semester, I brought in a cheesecake that I had been making for years, my Vermont Maple Cheesecake, and my chef instructor, Chef Jon St. Peter, took a few bites and asked me where he could get one. I looked at him and said, "Give me 90 days!" Ninety days later, Decadence LLC was born!
When I opened in November of 2004, I started with two clients, and as of November 2008, we now have 17 clients from Loveland to The Grand Valley to Gateway Canyons and are now available in Provo, Utah and more are coming on board!
Inspired by the head of my culinary program, Don Kirby, our 'Cheesecakes in a Jar™' product line was launched at the Downtown Grand Junction Farmer's Market in June of 2006. By the second week, over half of our customers were repeats and within 60 days, our 'Cheesecakes in a Jar™' were our #1 selling product line!
In September of 2008, we were honored to earn a 2nd Place in The Spirit of Innovation Awards, sponsored by Prepared Foods Magazine and Ventura Foods! (It seems that we were beaten out by some small company called Kraft Foods!) We are one of the smallest companies ever to win this award and the first Colorado company to place!
